Pair of Rococo-Style Carved and Stained Mahogany Armchairs, Late 20th Century.
Elegantly crafted in the Rococo style, each armchair features an arched backrest intricately carved with acanthus leaf motifs and a gadrooned border. The rich mahogany frames are complemented by striped upholstery in burgundy, green, blue, and brown tones. Carved acanthus scroll arms flow into shaped supports, while the stuff-over seat sits above a serpentine apron adorned with shell and foliate carving. The chairs stand on cabriole legs capped with floral motifs.

Condition:
Minor scuffing and surface scratches consistent with age and use. Upholstery shows signs of wear with fabric pulling away at the backrest and loose trim. Notable wood loss and evidence of an old glue repair to one armrest.
